We first met Jemila in 2019 when our daughter was 2, through our previous provider.
When I found out she was going out on her own, there was no hesitation that we would follow.
She is great with our daughter. She is warm, funny, kind and very respectful.
Jemila is very passionate about her job, it clearly shows in her methods and detailed reports. Our recent report was so extensive that I mentioned she is the first provider in the 5 years of our daughters life, that could finally give us such detailed information on her diagnosis. From what it is exactly, to available treatments or tools, gadgets that would benefit her, to what we can expect life to be like now and in the future vision wise. Other bodily functions we'd need to be aware of, to other providers and specialists that we'd need to engage in her life.
Not even the numerous specialists and hospitals we've met so far have been able to go into so much depth as she has. You are not just, another number to her. You feel cared for. Truly an angel, that has made our family's vision impaired journey, a little easier and more prepared.

This year Elijah
started having monthly low vision therapy and 6 monthly FVA with Jemila she has not only helped educate me on his condition. She has helped diagnose and pinpoint his exact visual issues he is experiencing like no one else has before. His vision has improved in some areas and he is learning new techniques to help get his vision as well as it can be. I am so grateful for everything Jemila has done for Elijah so far and

Our daughters therapist suggested would we be open to perhaps having her eye- sight
checked to see whether their may be any issues. Sure why not I said - let’s tick another box.
In my head (mum) ok I’m sceptic - how are we going to do this and what’s involved am I going to get her to participate so many questions on my end . Our therapist suggested a contact who also was able to achieve this on a home visit . Win Win !! So I made the call . I decided to start with a meet & greet of which bonus she was able to observe and engage without any pressure.
We then scheduled another meeting .
Everything aligned this day our daughter was in a good space .
Watching this assessment unfold was truly inspiring to watch how she navigated and engaged our daughter through many little tasks and respected when she needed to break,
you read her body language well and we completed it and got a report. This report has
given great insight and captured our daughter really well regarding her needs going forward.
I’m looking forward to seeing where to from here .

As an NDIS participant, I’ve had an excellent experience with In-Sight Vision Therapy.
Jemila provides orthoptic low vision services for my blindness and always listens to me.
She even offered some free services to help me get across the line when I needed it most,
which showed me how much she genuinely cares.
Unlike other well-known providers who have taken my money and not delivered,
Jemila has always been honest and reliable.
What matters most to me is that she works closely with my support worker and even
provides training so the work continues between sessions. Her reports and recommendations
actually meet my needs, and Provided me with the evidence to increase my funding.
with her support I’ve become more independent, more confident in communicating, and better
able to manage my situation even while staying in boarding accommodation. On top of all
that, she’s funny and easy to talk to, which makes the sessions enjoyable and stress-free.
